Vocabulary

I would like very much to/I would love to

Hi,

What kind of difference is there between "I would like very much to" and "I would love to"?

I suppose that these phrases have the same meaning.

Is either more formal or used in speech more often?

Thank you in advance.

the meaning is more or less the same, yes. However I would say that the sentence with love is more personal and therefore used with friends and family whereas very much like to ... has a more proffesional distance but still saying something with enthusiasm.
