I would have surprised

Hi, teachers. Is 'I would have' correct here if I mean "I had planned to"?

A: Where did you get the RV from?

B: I bought it a few weeks ago. I would have surprised my family with a trip to Disney World next week, but something have come up at work, so I have postponed it for now.
