I would have ...

Hi,

As far as I know, when you hadn't done something that you should have done, you tend to say like the following.

A: You should have reported it to the Boss as soon as you came back.

But what if you want to say oppositely?

For example, you listened someone 's advice and had done it.

Do you say like "I am happy that I listened to you"

Thanks in advance.

Hi VC. What you're looking for is unclear to me-- there seem to be many possible comments. ' or 'it would have been better to have done that' or 'I'd/you'd better get on the stick/ball'.

Thanks Mr. MM.

That's what I wanted to know. e.g. "I am glad that I listened to your advice"!
