I would be very grateful if you would take a look at these paragraphs about the movie 'Gladiator' and see if you agree with them. If not, please suggest some alternatives.

The great Roman General Maximum has already come back victorious with his legions from the battle field. What he wants now is to be home with his wife and son.
But the emperor Marcus Aurelius wants him to be his heir.
Marcus Aurelius tells his son, Commodus, that he will not be Emperor and that the role has been offered to General Maximus. Commodus kills his father because of this.
When Maximus refuses to believe that Marcus died of natural causes, Commodus orders that Maximus and his family should be executed.
Maximus is taken to the forest for his execution, but thanks to his warrior skills he kills his executers and escapes.
Then he flees to Spain to try to save his family, but it is too late. When he arrives home, his wife and son are dead, crucified.
Impotent in front of their dead he decides to take revenge, but he is captured by slave traders and trained to be a gladiator. His fame begins to grow in the arena of the Coliseum.
