Preparation for winter in the village
Summer fruits were either dried or mashed into marmalade or their pulps were dried and stored for winter. From succulent and juicy red tomatoes, tomato paste was prepared, marinated in the sun, poured in the cubes, and then moved to the cellar. Pickles were prepared from green fall tomatoes, peppers and small unripe melons. While these stuffs were prepared, the crops of wheat and barley were reaped and threshed. After harvest, grandfather Suleiman would give everyone's share, and then everybody would say goodbye until the next year’s harvest. We would also get our share and return to Amasya in a few days.

Dear Teacher,
Thanks a lot for correction. Regarding the questions about the process, yes, tomato paste left out in the sun for its humidity to lessen futher.
Secondly, we still do have big cubes (like amphoras) in the cellar and we use them for storage. They take up as much as 100 kilograms of food. Is that what you want to learn? Is it not appropriate to use these terms?

Use storage bins, jars, or containers.

A cube is a shape.
An amphora has a smooth shape. It has handles.

By the way, in English, marmalade normally refers to a fruit spread made from a citrus fruit, most commonly oranges, and usually containing small pieces of the peel. A spread made from other fruit, such as plums, grapes or apricots, is usually called jam, jelly, preserve or conserve, depending on how it's made.
