I would be right back after the break. Help me please.

Dear Teacher



On a teaching TV program, when it’s about to take a break. One of teachers says,

Friends, I would be right back after the break.



Why the teacher use the word would? Whether I misheard?

Can I use Will instead of would. The “Would” can be used in simple future sentence?

1. the past tense of "will"
2. to show something highly impossible

It's not quite as simple as that, Pyrene. Here is an extract from grammar.ccc.commnet.edu:

Uses of Will and Would

In certain contexts, will and would are virtually interchangeable, but there are differences. Notice that the contracted form 'll is very frequently used for will.

Will can be used to express willingness:
