I wonder If

Hi.

I have obsession in using the word wonder in a phrase I wonder if when I want to ask questions in formal letters. I wonder if you could provide me with other alternatives.

I have been told it is not common to ask question directly in formal letters for example instead of saying

Can you send me your resume? I say I wonder if you could send me your resume

Can you give me some information about the education? I wonder if you would .......

Should I apply before the deadline? I wonder if I should..................

I wonder if you could help me to convey my notion in other ways.

Thanks

I can't see either of them being used in the same context as any of the examples that you gave above. Using the passive voice sounds more like an order than a polite request.

Oh, I didn't know that.

Does it sound impolite to say it is requested to send me your resume

Thanks

Hi,

Another very common phrasing is -
I would be grateful if you would send me an application form.
I would be grateful for an application form.

It sounds wrong and it is not grammatically correct.

Who do you want to send the résumé? Presumably the person to whom you are writing.
