Grammar

I wished my father were/ had been rich.

1. I wished my father were rich.

2. I wished my dather had been rich.

3. I wished my father bought me a car.

4. I wished my father had bought me a car.

I've always been wondering the usage of "I wished" conditional.
In my country, I've been taught sentence 1 and 3 are grammatical. But I've come across that some native speakers say that sentences like 1 and 3 are not logical. Can you please tell me which are correct?
