I wish I would've known/done smth.

Hello.

I'm kind of puzzled by using such a grammar and I don't know if it's equal to "I wish I had known/done smth". When could we use this?

The preferred phrasing is I wish I had known / I wish I had done .... Nevertheless, some people use the forms I wish I would've known / I wish I would've done .... Both have the same meaning.
