I wish

0 1. I wish perhaps one day we 01b00will02b00 take the chance. (Is this incorrect? A lot of people use 'will' with 'wish' ? Is it because they are using 'wish' like 'hope' ? Where it should be 'I hope perhaps one day we will take the chance.' ?) 02br

0 Thank you, I haven’t ever thought of the difference between ‘hope’ and ‘wish’. Now that I check for definitions, I find that the two words are closely synonymous. Wish is a little weaker than hope because wish means that the ‘hoped’ for outcome is likely not to occur.
