I will look forward to seeing you in better and improved feature?

I know it is totally broken English, so sorry to ask, please feel free to correct my broken sentence!
I want to say that I will prepare more and improve myself more, so I can show up later in front of you as a better student. How can I express this?

Perhaps: I look forward to seeing you once I have better prepared myself as a student. Does that work?
