I will be available ON or FOR [Date]

Hello…
I am confused between "I will be available on 1/1/2001" and "I will be available for 1/1/2001". I think both of them mean I will be available only for that certain date which in this case is 1/1/2001. What if I want to say I will be available since certain date? Can I say "I will be available 2 weeks from now" and "I will be available 2 weeks from accepting date"?

Thanks...

Kate

Correct me if wrong. > "I will be available on 1/1/2001" and "I will be available for 1/1/2001" I don't think the second one is correct. I would say I will be available for help, comment etc.

When should we make the appointment?
Let's make it for 1/1/2001. (You make an appointment for [date]) (More common.)

>I will be available two weeks from now. OK.
I would like to emphasise that point.
I was told by a native speaker that it is not a good/natural way to say like that. If strictly speaking, it is incorrect to say in that way.

Instead we should say:
- I will be available (with)in two weeks.

Using "from now" is simliar to the following:
