I whant one Argumentative essay

I was online and bumped into loveserch.com” says June. “I didn’t know what it was, but I clicked on it.” June talking fast, her hands are everywhere and she’s somewhat jittery. In less than one hour she is due to meet Elias, the man she has finally agreed – over the net – to see. We sit across from each other in a hotel and drink coffee. “This is the first blind date l´ve ever been on, “ says June and adds after a pause, “ not that I have been on many dates in the first place, “ her voice falters, and looking at the floor she murmurs,” but still.”

Having found the match-making website, June completed the questionnaire and ticked off her interests from over 100 categories. “I didn’t give out my real name. I wrote I was ‘Isoled’, my favorite character in romantic fiction,” she laughs.

Within days June received a list of people in her desired age range, 25 to 30, who’d shown interest in her profile. I ask her why she picked Elias.

“Well, I was given 25 men, but there wasn’t a doubt in my mind about Elias being ‘my man’. He has a good job- a pharmacist. He is good-looking, I think…. And I liked his values and his interests immediately. I knew right away I want to meet him in order to get to know him better,” June says and finishes her coffee.

Shortly after their first e-mails, Elias offered to pay for June to go on a romantic holiday in together. She declined. “I was nervous about staying alone with someone I didn’t know in an unfamiliar country, “she says.

I glance at my watch; it’s time for June to get back to her hotel room and finish her preparation for her longer-for blind date. I catch her hand and look her in the eyes.” How do you feel now?” I ask.

“I have no idea, “she gabbles,” I feel a hundred things. One is: this isn’t real. I also try to remember how short life is- I simply can’t afford not to take a chance like this. “

Despite her obvious nervousness, June stays positive:

“Carpe dime- isn’t that what people say all the time nowadays? I want to be that way too. I want to seize the day too”

June and Elias have decided to meet outside a coffee shop on Broadway. In spite of all the people jostling in the streets of this huge city, June has no problems recognizing Elias on the sidewalk, holding an enormous bunch of flowers and smiling shyly. When we get close enough he hands June the flowers. She laughs they’re rather unwieldy and, as she fumbles with them in her arms, he hugs her hand kisses her on the cheek. The two of them are now smiling ear to ear, neither of them are saying a word. I with draw a little, but remain within hearing distance. I hear June laugh, and then Elias’ dark voice- they’re both sounding a bit exaggerated. “Oh my god” June says, shielding her mouth with her free hand. “I can’t believe I’m doing this”. Her voice is quite shaky when she says in a low voice:” You look even better than I imagined.” I can’t hear Elias’ answer to this, but they’re giggling like old now and disappear into the coffee shop to a table Elias has already reserved. From where I’m standing I see their wild gestures as they laugh with their heads thrown back. I’d give a fortune to be a fly the wall beside them…

After a while, when we decide to go for a walk in Central Park, Elias and June are holding hands, talking loudly and making holding plans in again! for the following month. Tonight, they’re going to see Mamma Mia, the musical with ABBA songs. They seem filled with love- struck energy. I’m exhausted, and return to my own hotel and fall asleep at once. When I walk up the next morning, I realize I have been dreaming about June and Elias, and I’m curios to find out if my dream were true.

When I meet with June at the usual coffee shop she is upset. Silently I look at her as she sips her coffee.

“Elias is completely different than I thought. He is so emotional, “She says, shaking her head. When she refused to follow him home he had gotten angry. “He was persistent, but I needed more time to get to know him. Now I’m not no sure I need any time at all, “she says, “I had totally misjudged the e-mails I had been getting from him. They don’t show someone’s temper, do they? I mean, how could they?” still, June has agreed to se Elias one last time over lunch. Elias’ body language shows he realize he acted inappropriately the night before. After lunch we take a stroll in the Park again. This time the atmosphere is completely different. No hands are held, no loud laughing heard.

Their conversation is serious. By early afternoon however, just before departure, they agree that they’re glad they’ve met. “This isn’t the romance of my life, but I had a great time,” June tells me on her way back home. “Strangely enough, I’m glad I did this we’ve talked things over”

A few days late I call June up to see how things have developed. She says she’s dropped Elias and is e-mailing a man who seems really nice and lives just two miles away.” Of course I’ll see him, “she says, “If he just asks me out. He hasn’t yet though. If he does I’ll seize the date,” she says laughingly.

thanks
