I was dissapointed of + ( verb+ing )

Hi to all, who love it when it snows and get tempted to rewrite their memories on this blank page of nature.

Please help me to write the sentence below correctly:

Thank you, I was disappointed of getting a proper answer.

1 ) Is it correct?
2 ) If yes, then Is it polite too?

If you are telling the listener/reader that he did not give you a proper answer, it is somewhat impolite.

Though these are somewhat high register (formal), I think you might mean:

I despaired of (ever) getting a [correct / satisfactory / timely] answer.

(You lost hope that you would get a [correct / satisfactory / timely] answe

Don't confuse these two:

I was not disappointed | to get a proper answer.
I was disappointed | not to get a proper answer.

"not to get" ~ "that I didn't get" is the opposite of "to get" ~ "that I got"
