I was born different. vs. I was born to be different

Hello guys,

Suddenly, I have come up with this question,

: Why sometimes do we say

1. I was born different.

instead of

2. I was born "to be" different. ?

Grammar-wise, does the first sentence make any sense?
If yes, anybody can clarify the reason? (For what reason "to be" part can be taken out?)

Any comments would be highly appreciated! Emotion: smile

Many thanks in advance!

Best wishes,

GO, Seung Chul (from South Korea)
