I want to make a photo - correct grammar
I'm studying a TEFL course and have come across the question 'I want to make a photo' - correct this students spoken grammar and explain the error. Whilst I know the correct grammar is 'take' a photo, I'm not sure how to explain the students error...

Hi Guest, Well, I would hesitate to say this is a grammar error. I'd prefer to say it's a vocabulary problem. The grammar is fine, and you could say 'make'.

I am also looking at this question of ' Let me make a photo of you '
I think that the TYPE of mistake is vocabulary, but not sure of the reason.
If in some L1 languages the verb 'Make' is used when talking about photos then it must be L1 INTEREFERENCE.
