A: Where did you get it? I want to buy it for myself."

What is the meaning of 'for myself' in the sentence and why is it there?

"I will buy flowers for her."

'For myself' functions the same as 'for her' in the sentence above?

Like "I cooked dinner for myself."

In your original example it means "I want one too!"
In your second example it probably means "My wife was visiting her mother, so I cooked my own dinner."
