I want there to be a slight pause after coming. Would the comma be sufficient and correct?

"Maybe I deserve what’s coming, maybe I don’t."

According to strict rules this would be a comma splice, but in my opinion such use of a comma to separate contrasting phrases is acceptable, especially in a sentence that feels conversational.

Would adding "or" clear up the splice?

"Maybe I deserve what's coming, or maybe I don't."

Many writers would use this punctuation, but a semi-colon is more appropriate in my opinion.
