I want both / either.

Hi,

Background:
Suppose there is an apple and a banana, but I can choose 1 only.


Question1:
Should I say "either or both" in my sentence if I don't care whether i get an apple or orange.
Question2:
If I use "both", will other people think "if they give me 1 of them only, i am not happy"

Sentence:
I want both / either.
