I wanna know when subtitles will be ready...

How can I ask: How soon will (the) English subtitles be ready? — I mean... is the definite article necessary in this case?

Top answer

Say 'the' if the listener is already aware of the subtitles you are asking about.

Just to let you know -- "wanna" is okay in speech but looks really bad (undeducted) in writing.
