"i" vs "I" meaning myself

I posted a question about "i" vs "I" (meaning myself) and I saw it was certainly listed up waiting to be answered several days ago. However, soon thereafter, it seems such post has been deleted. Since I saw some people using "i" in place of "I," I would like to know if there are any areas of preference of using small "i." Also, I would like to know in which case an existing listing is deleted in spite of being listed after moderation. Thank you.

Hi, The pronoun 'I' should always be written as a capital letter. Sorry, I don't know why or how your post was erased. Best wishes, Clive

I thought I answered that post, but I don't know what happened to it. The pronoun "I" should always be capitalized (unless you are the poet e.e. cummings who never capitalized anything).
