I' ve a computer

0 I've recently read on an English Grammar and Language book that it's wrong to write the sort form of have [ like in I'VE] when refering to posession. That it should be written I HAVE or I HAVE GOT. 02br

00Is there any truth to that? I thought it was ok to wirte in both ways... 0-

0 I wouldn't say it was wrong, ICU; but sometimes you want to stress the 'have', when you mean 'possess', which is difficult if you're using the short form. 02br 02br 00For instance, I would happily write: 02br 02br 001. I've got a computer.

  • So I would write 'have' out in full.
