I turned 30 vs I got 30 , show me?

I read it, " I just turned 30" below .
If " turned " is replaced with "got"  , Is this correct or Can it be used?  does they mean same or not?

 We worked hard and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4,000 employees. We just released our finest creation, the Macintosh, a year earlier and I just turned 30. And then I got fired.
