Hi friends, Need your help again. I found this philosopher René Descartes's suppose-to-be-famous words: I think, therefore I am. I wonder what he was trying to say. Does it mean that human beings should have thoughts which distinguishes them from animals? Or does it carry the meaning that world exists spiritually. Look forward to your ideas. Many Thanks.

That "Dictionary of Cultural Literacy" is a good book. I used to study it in junior high school when I was briefly on the academic team, before I decided that I didn't feel like learning facts for facts' sake. Very interesting reading, though!
