I think it is a correct time to follow up my application

Hi,

I had a job interview 30 days ago. However, I have not received any result.
Now, I am going to send an email to ask.

Question:
Is the sentence grammatically correct?

Sentence:
It is 30 days after the meeting, so I think it is a correct time to follow up my application and to express my continued interest in the position.

Thanks

"This just reads as if you are answering a friend who asks 'Why are you going to write to them?'"

Yes, I know.

There are other sentences in my email.

However, I am not sure whether the sentence in my post is grammatically correct or not.

Could you please tell me whether it is grammatically correct or not?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, correct grammar.

But a very unsuitable sentence. It sounds like you are rebuking the recipient.

thanks for telling me

if I want to tell the interviewer that:

it is 30 days after the interview, but I have not received any reply, so I want to follow up

could you please suggest a polite sentence for me?

thanks

I suggest:

- forget about counting the days.

- thank him for the interview.

- say that you are wondering if they have made a decision yet.
