I think I get to represent entire Asia.



Hi, teachers. In the youtube clip provided above (only a munite long), you can hear the Chinese journalist say: 'I think I get to represent entire Asia', before he posed a question to President Obama.

My friends and I are quite confused at his adoption of the phrase 'get to represent' in the context. What does it sound to you?

Here are two opinions of our group:

1---He meant to say 'I have to represent entire Asia', but he used 'get' by mistake.

2--'Get to' is right, for it means he can represent entire Asia, not have to.
