I think I don't do/ I don't think I do?

At school I learned we should put negative phrase first, eg "I don't think I can do that."
But on google search I found many sentences like "I think I can't do that."

My questions are;
1) Which do you usually use, "I don't think I can do that" or "I think I can't do that."
2) If you use both, are there any difference?

Thanks,

Makiasan Which do you usually use "I don't think I can do that" is by far the best version. It's true that you will see the other version but it's non-standard and should be avoided.
