I think "all kind of memories" is odd in this sentence.

"My wife came across an old photo of us together about 20 years ago and it brought back all kinds of memories."
When I translate "all kind of memories" in my language and compare it with my logic, it seems odd. I would prefer "all of my/the memories". ''Could you please judge it? And if "all kind of" is correct or better than "all of my/the", why?

Thanks, no that was my mistake, I meant "kinds". And thanks for clarification. One other question, would you use any other word instead of "clarification"? I though perhaps "explanation" is better than "clarification". But specifically in the meaning of making things clear, what would you use?
