I was wondering the difference, if any, between saying something like:
I study everyday vs I am studying everyday
or
I run everyday vs I go running everyday
Would you use one over the other in a certain context? Would the second sentence in each example be more of an explanation than a stand-alone statement? Or are both equally an explanation as much as a stand-alone statement? What category of grammar would this fall into?
Thank-you in advanced.

Why would it be seen as incorrect? If someone asks, "Are you still studying English?", would it be incorrect to respond with something like: "Yes, I am studying everyday."? Or would you respond with: "Yes, I study everyday."? What is the difference? Is one response better than the other? Do they both portray the same meaning to the listener/reader?
