I should prepare (for) the presentation

When I am choosing a suit to wear in a presentation tomorrow, which one is more natural to use?

1) I should prepare for the presentation.
2) I should prepare the presentation.

I know the difference between prepare and prepare for like in I prepare the exam and I prepare for the exam, but in the situation of choosing something related to the event, I am confused with choosing the proper word between prepare and prepare for, so which one do you use if you have to do?

Thank you so much as usual in advance.
