Examples: I would like to see the minister tomorrow. I went to see him yesterday.
Both examples above could mean see and talk at the same time as far as how I could use the verb "see".
However, could I say "I saw him yesterday" when I want to mean the same, i.e. see and talk. I feel a bit odd as it could mean merely see with the eyes without talking. It seems that such construct more likely means seeing only.
