Would you say that I interpret these sentences correctly?

I saw him cross the road. (=he was crossing the road.)

I saw him crossing the road. (=I was crossing the road.)

I think I can use both fall and falling here with the meaning that he was falling.

I saw him fall from the wall and instantly called for help.

I saw him falling from the wall and instantly called for help.
