1. I saw a cat jump out of a window!

2. I saw a cat jumping out of a window!

Which of the sentences is acceptable?

I saw a cat jump out of a window = you saw the whole process -- the cat jumped out of the window. I saw a cat jumping = I saw it during jump, but not landing -- or maybe just landing, but not while jumping both are fine but convey different meanings
