I received the book last year although I have not even looked at it yet.

I received the book last year although I have not even looked at it yet.

Does this sentence sound natural to you? I want to put emphasis on the fact that I although I have had it for such a long time, I never had a chance to read it.

Thanks

Is it considered ungrammatical or bad style if a use although in the middle of a sentence?

It's bad style here, because what you want is to emphasize the contradiction of the whole situation, starting last year
