I really need help for my motivational letter for cognitive science

My dream is to study Cognitive Science. I lack the necessary grades which is why I have to write a motivational letter. I'm not a native english speaker so there is probably a lot of grammatical errors.

I anyone would take a few minutes to take a look at my letter and share their thoughts I would be deeply grateful! Feel free to edit the content of the letter:

Dear Sir or Madam

I am writing the letter to apply to the Bachelor Program in Cognitive Science at Aarhus University. I am currently studying History at Aarhus University. I applied for Cognitive Science last year, but I didn’t get accepted. Since this is still my dream I must try again. So why should you consider me for studying cognitive science in 2020?
I’m extremely motivated. Most of my life I’ve followed the main road along with everyone else with no real direction. That ended up in some very social years in high school with very little focus on school. A year later (2017) I stumbled upon the book ‘Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach’ by professor Stuart Russell. It focused on applied cognitive science and its impact on the research field of artificial intelligence. It awakened a desire in me to know more and gave me the professional direction that I needed. In 2018 I was on a three-month trip to the US where I got to visit the Center for Human Compatible AI at UC Berkeley, California. Meeting some of interns and hearing their thoughts on the scope and direction of AI research strengthened my determination to pursue that field of study.
I like to explore basic problems and get to the bottom of them. I like the fact that this research field is aimed at understanding normal and pathological brain functions. Cognitive Science in Aarhus is to me the most obvious field of study if I want pursue a study of artificial intelligence – especially if I get to study information studies as my master. Within the field of cognition and neuroscience, I am most interested in language and emotion. These acquisitions come very natural to people yet are very complex in any analysis and in their development and comprehension. And these are skills that researchers in artificial intelligence are particularly struggling to comprehend.

I am an ambitious person, and I like to accomplish tasks as thoroughly and efficiently as possible. I hope that I will get to prove my abilities and pursue my goal in a bachelor program at Cognitive Science.

Due to spending 1,5 years working abroad from 2017-2019 I have a good command of English, so I’ll have no difficulties understanding lectures, participate in discussions and take examinations.
In April 2018 I founded Wibe ApS which was a software company focusing on web development. Working with software architecture I gained a good knowledge of the programming languages HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. I closed the company in November 2019 due to lack of time.
