I put away the ring and devoted to wash my shirt

So my shirt got stained. I put away the ring and devoted to wash my shirt.

Hi,
Does the bolded part make sense to you? Is it clearer to reword it as "concentrated myself on washing my shirt?" Thanks.

No so is necessary at the beginning of the first sentence. "I concentrated on washing my shirt" sounds natural.

By the way, doesn't "I concentrated myself on washing my shirt" sound good to you?

I don't know what your mother tongue is, but in English "concentrate" is not a reflexive verb.
