Grammar

I or Me, not the usual mixup

Good morning,

The following sentences refers to a person joining a certain team. Which form, if any, is more correct? An explanation would be appreciated, and please forgive me in advance for any grammar mistakes I may have done - I'm not a native English speaker.

1. A new addition was recruited a few days ago – I.
2. A new addition was recruited a few days ago – Me.

Thank you very much,
I.G.

When you are talking about a new addition, you are referring to an object. Therefore #2 is more common.
