I or me

I understand that I is a subject pronoun and me an object pronoun but I cant figure out what rule applies in this case: '' This is a picture of Sue and me opening xmas gifts'' or Sue and I? I know you would say,'' this is a picture of Sue and me'' but how can me open a gift?
