The most critical sustainability issue in Vietnam is environmental pollution including of the air, water, and solid waste. Hanoi is faced with air pollution and water pollution. The air quality is going down under the healthy and sometimes reached the alarm level. The color of the lakes is turned black due to industrial and domestic waste activities. Each person will have a mask to cover dust and bad smell when going out. Some of them get sick. And everyone really worries about this problem.

Traffic is more crowed by the numbers of motorbike are increasing. It discharged more CO2 to the environment and make the weather hotter. All of this affected our daily lives and our health.

The Vietnamese government has planned to address industrial air pollution.Their target is to reduce by 20 percent NOx, SOx and garbage activities.

On a personal level, I have taken the lead in resolving these issues by small actions every day. Instead of going to work by motorbike, I choose the bus for transportation. Every weekend, my international friends and I clean the streets and recycling by placing it in the designated to the bins. We also plant trees, which can reduce the level of CO2 in the atmosphere. And I think that to address all the above issues, we need to choose environmentally sustainable ways in the long term.
