I need your honest opion..

Hi,

I am in a process of hiring an English instructor to teach a group of young students, grades

between 4th ~ 7th. And, I just finished interviewing an applicant for the position who claims

to be a Stanford graduate with a M.A. in English.

But after reading a few sentences he wrote in English, I just couldn't believe this person is a

Stanford graduate, especially with a M.A. in English.

Here are the sentences in question,

"Today is Jordan's first birthday party."

- I believe this sentence is a complete nonsense. Even though there isn't any grammar errors,

this sentence is an invalid statement because the subject(today) and noun aren't matching.

How would you evaluate the sentence?

"When my body turns cold you will know I remapped the world."

- The person claims that he wrote this as a part of a hip-hop song lyric. In this case, there is a serious grammar error. If I rewrite the sentence with correction, it should be

"When my body turns cold, you will know THAT I'VE remapped the world."

How would you evaluate the sentence?

"If you would like to know more about me or my friends is probably what you are looking for,

check out the Official website."

- This isn't even a complete sentence since it doesn't have any independent clause. Not only that, there is an omission error of "which" in front of the "is."

How would you evaluate the sentence?

What is your overall evaluation about this person's English writing skill level?

My opinion is that, this person's general understanding of English and his writing skill levels

are that of a 6th grader.

Please help me to evaluate this person's English level!
