I need your help with some sentences please

Please take a look or have a look at the following sentences and correct the wrong sentences:

I always feel afraid from asking my boss for off because he is ornery.
I shun conversation with weird people because the majority of them are ornery.
The ornery avoid general conversation because they get angry so fast.

I still have one question please, Why did you remove adamant in the last two sentences? I thought stubborn and adamant has the same meaning, am I right?

Still, they collocate differently; stubborn is used of a personal characteristic, while 'adamant' is used to refer only to specific instances. 'Stubborn' is also pejorative.
