Letter Writing

I need your help & expertise! How do I write a Gymnastics Sponsorship Letter?

I have been searching the web for an sample letter on how to write a gymnastics sponsorship letter for my daughter. In the past my mother had help me with all of her expenses, she has since pasted. I'm looking to the business community and a few family members for sponsorhips.

My daughter's gymnastic season starts in Dec. and end in April. She is a level 7 gymnast. He assessement fees are approx $1,500. Travel to Texas and numerous in state cities are approx. $1600 . I continue to make her monthly tuition. She is a bright and thoughtful 12 year old girl who lives to go to the gym and give it her all.

Currently the gym has an banner advertising program. The price of the 3 x 5 banner is deducted for the min. $300 donation and the remaining amount is put into her assessment account. The banner is then hung on the gym wall for some 2,000 plus families to see.

MountainHiker suggested a great idea, talking to my local Chamber of Commerce. See if they have any companies, health clubs that might be interested in assisting.

Do you have any ideas or could help me draft a letter? It would be greatly appreciated!

Dear MountainHiker,

Thank you for the well thought out ideas.

My daughter's gymnastics club is located in California, we will be traveling to Texas.

The sponsorships are for an individual and not for the team or gym(gymnastics), so the gym would not run their advertising. Your mentioning of the fitness club sponsorship is great, because right down the block (1 mile

Hometeacher,
MountainHiker should I informed them of the cost involved? Some companies might be willing to donate more than $300. A $300 donation to the banner program could result in less than $100 after paying for the banner to be printed. What do you think?

The most important thing in all this exercise is to think of what is in it for them? Why should th

I hope this note finds you well and happy. I have been away from the forum for a long time. In between being a mom I made a effort to put your ideas in a letter. I will type it for you, if you are still willing to help me, I appreciate your help.

What a great letter!
In paragraph 1
In return for your donation , we will provide a 3' x 5' banner advertising for your company displayed on the wall of the workout area directly across from the viewing area.

I didn't mention the exact remaining amount because the donation might be more than $275. How should I write it out?

In paragraph 4
