Task 2: Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment, only governments and large companiese can make a diffirence. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

Some people believed that only governments or large organizations can improve the environment without help from inhabitants. However, it is the fact that citizens also play an important role in protecting the environment. This essay will discuss the necessity of individuals in ameliorating the habitat in the world.

Obviously, the governments or large businesses can make a difference in improving the quality of environment by implementing the regulations. They could invest a lot of money in minimizing the hazardous impacts on environment which were caused by human through decades. Besides, the authorities always try their best to prevent the habitat from being more destroyed. Some of the regulations proved their effectiveness and the environment was gradually improved in some aspects. We can not deny the importance and effort of the government as well as many large companies. However, one of the most significant factors to create the success of the long-term issue was the awareness of individuals.

Although the regulations of the governments were important, they are nothing without the compliance of citizens. Residents are people who abide by laws. Their awareness of following the law plays a significant role in improving the environment. Moreover, some minor actions of citizens such as not to littering trash or persuading others to protect environment are praiseworthy. Imagine that when the governments are trying to protect the habitat but a minor part of individuals keeps breaking the laws and carrying on the deforestation or raising their own profits without considering the effects of their actions. Consequently, all the efforts of the administration would have been for nothing.

In conclusion, pollution is a hot issue and both citizens and government should try the best to tackle these problems. Protecting the environment is not responsibility of an individual, all people should give their hands to remedy the consequences which human has caused.
