I need you to solve this for me!!!

on freshman day all new students were aloud to tell the truth all day or lie all day. i came to 3 freshmen sitting on a step, A B and C. i asked A are you a truthteller or a liar. he had his back turned so i dont know what he said. B said "A is a truth teller" C said "B is lying" is C a truthteller or a liar????

I have no opinion on the solution to the riddle, but, in this context, the word is "allowed," and not "aloud."

Allowed means permissable.

Aloud means to speak or make a noice that is audible to others.

if a is telling the truth, a would say "i'm telling the truth"
if a is lying, a cant say he's lying as that's the truth, so he would say i'm telling the truth in both circumstances.

b now confirms that a is a truth teller, so that means that a is a truth teller and so is b.

c is a liar as if he says b is telling the truth, then c would be telling the truth.

Ah, but that assumes liars always lie, and truth tellers always tell the truth. Would that it were so in life, as life would be so much simpler, as one would always know where one stood!
