I need urgent advice

I am applying for a graduate program in counseling psychology. For this purpose I have to write in very short terms /5 days/ an autobiographical essay emphasizing my childhood experience. This task sounds odd and unclear for me. Could you give me any idea what is expected?!? The essay has to be 4-6 pages long /double spacing/
Is there any universal structure that I have to follow?
Could you recommend me a reliable source where I can find some helpful samples.

Hi Guest, If I were you, I would simply use "autobiographical essay" as search terms for Google. There are lots and lots of examples. But I know if it were me, I'd let my imagination run absolutely wild and write a fictitious essay.

If I were you, I would simply use "autobiographical essay" as search terms for Google. There are lots and lots of examples.

But I know if it were me, I'd let my imagination run absolutely wild and write a fictitious essay. That would give those professors something to talk about over their lunch break.
