I need to change it because my conference meets/will meet at the same.

Here is the context:

Do you remember we’ll have dinner tomorrow?
Yes.
I’m sorry.I need to change it because my conference meet at the same time. Could we move it up one hour?
My question is
should i say because my conference meets at the same time, or my conference will meet at the same time?

For coversation you can say meets, or will meet. However, the proper conjugation would be will meet or even better will be meeting (Future Tense and Future Participle). Proper grammer only uses the present meets as Indicative Present Tense in conjunction with singular pronouns i.e. She Meets.
