I need someone to review my english pronunciation when singing!

Hello everyone,

I'm a 22 old french singer and I sing in english because I LOVE this language.

I'm constantly trying to perfect my accent and not let it be something that is distracting to the listener. But as a non native speaker, it's hard to evaluate myself. Recently one of our post blew up and tik tok, and I received some (french) comments telling me to improve my pronunciation.

I’m trying my best to pronounce everything right. But sometimes I feel like my french accent is bringing the quality of our music down, so these comments are genuinely making me feel bad.

I would like to hear the opinion of native speakers, how bad is it ?

Ah. That French-English thing. In English we don't put a space before a question mark. How bad is it?

It's a lot better than you think. But the instrumental background track and the voice track are unbalanced. The voice should be louder and/or the instrumental component should be less loud.

Generally speaking, I find that foreign accents are less noticeable when the person is singing than when he's speaking, so you have that working in your favor. Your pronunciation is not perfect, but it's decent. (In other words, it's like my French). I think you're at the point where you'd have to hire an accent coach to get all the small kinks out of your accent. A couple of posts on this forum (or any other forum) are not going to help much. As is to be expected, it's the vowels that need a little work.

You need to use capital letters correctly.

Regarding your accent in your first link, it's noticeable but not a big deal. You could pronounce a few words a little clearer but, your pronunciation does not make a huge difference.
