i need someone to help me.................

hi there,

i want to ask one question to anybody, especially someone that really expert in english.

can anybody explain to me what is the meaning of this sentence,

"i have had a strong support from my parents........"

i really do not understand the meaning of the words have had.

can anyone help me, please............

It is present perfect of the verb have : I have eaten three times today. I have seen that movie already . I have had strong support from my parents = I have received strong support (from the past until now) from my parents .

It is present perfect of the verb have:

I have eaten three times today.
I have seen that movie
already.

I have had strong support from my parents = I have received strong support (from the past until now) from my parents.

so, from the past until now the action is still happening?

is it correct if we say "i have had breathing?"

No. Have does not collocate with breathing (that is, those two words are not normally used together).

I have never breathed Arizona air.
I have had a breath of fresh air ( = I have had a new idea/experience or I have just been outside).

These are all verbs in the present perfect aspect. Have is used as the auxiliary verb. In #3, have is also the main verb:

1. I have eaten three times today.
2. I have seen that movie
already.
3. I have had strong support from my parents.
4. I have breathed deeply of life.
