The widespread use of the Internet has given people access to information on a level never experienced before. How does this increase in the availability of information influence life in today’s world?
The Internet is the most important and effective innovation that influenced world in a huge scale. Before appearance of the Internet, people mostly had access to information and news via TV, radio, newspaper, magazine, and books that were not as available as the Internet. Therefore, nowadays availability of information has made people more aware of what is going in their country and even around the world. Also, people have access to all science sources as easy as possible.
Access to the news by the Internet helped people to know about everything that they are interested in. one can read any organized and categorized news by a simple search. In my opinion because of the easy way for access, people are more eager to read news. As a result, people are more aware of their world and they have broad knowledge of other countries politics as well as their financial problems. For example, in the time of recession in the world, I could rely on the news and information revealed in the Internet more than other Medias.
Moreover, one can access to all scientific sources by the means of World Wide Web. Students don’t need to buy all the books they want because they can search it on the Internet. I can read all the scientific papers just by registering in a scientific web site. Without the Internet, a person who wants to research should buy too many magazines and since it is very expensive as well as boring, he or she might give up. Thanks to the Internet because of its encouraging rule for scientists.
To sum up, commence of the Internet was a turning point in the information world. The Internet has made people to know about every where they want. Scientists enjoy the availability of the sources and as a result doing research is more appealing for them. Therefore, simple access to the information has made the development of societies and improvement of science easier and faster.
