I need some help with ''seem to''

Hello everybody!

I heard expressions like'' words always seem to fade out"; "I always seem to forget"

Can i say: "words always seem fading out"? What's the difference? I still can't understand it completely.

seem with a verb in the -ing form is not grammatical. Don't say " seem fad ing out". seem to is what you want.

seem with a verb in the -ing form is not grammatical. Don't say "seem fading out".

seem to is what you want.

It seems that I always forget. = I always seem to forget. -- seem forgetting --
